(Corrected August 31, 2026.) Florida certified contractor licenses renew by August 31 of even-numbered years. An active license that was not renewed becomes delinquent under Fla. Stat. § 455.271(5) — not void — and can be renewed across the following biennium. A license that was already delinquent from the prior cycle is the one rendered void on September 1, 2026 by § 455.271(6)(a), and that is the case where the route becomes reinstatement or a new application rather than a renewal.
